Emergency Water Shutoff

The water shutoff for toilets and sinks can usually be found in the apartment, behind the toilet or under the sink. In case of a major plumbing issue, leak or flooding, you may need to shut the water supply to your entire apartment off.  The emergency water shutoff valves or stopcocks for each apartment are located in the cellar.  At the bottom of the cellar steps, turn right into the plant and equipment room.  The shutoff valves are located on the wall to your left.  Each apartment is clearly marked.  Simply turn the valve off to stop the water flow into your apartment.
